Steve Jobs is dead at the age of 56. His death was a global news story. He is known for impacting the world through Apple computer. He is largely responsible for the creation and evolution of the iPod, iPhone, and iPad. He had great wealth and vision. What did he do that will affect eternity? How did he spend his time? What can we learn from this man?
Steve Jobs was an amazing man. God gifted him with creativity, drive, ambition, and a vision for the future. He changed the way people interact with each other and with the world. He was a college drop-out but a genius . After dropping out of required college courses, he “dropped in” on the ones that interested him. Courses like graphic design and art. His understanding of aesthetics and his love for art and calligraphy greatly impacted the technology that we have today. Do all of his accomplishments mean that the world is better off today? We have unprecedented access to information but do we have greater understanding? I don’t think so. Mankind still struggles with the same things they have since the beginning of time.
Below is an excerpt from Steve Jobs’ 2005 Commencement Address at Stanford.
“No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
While I have seen no evidence that Steve was a believer, ultimately that is between Steve and God. We have no idea what went on in Steve’s heart, especially in his last days as he faced his own mortality. It is important for us to know that it is possible to lead a successful life, to be the creator of incredible inventions, to impact the world and the way they communicate, and yet that none of these accomplishments can earn him one minute in heaven.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. “ Ephesians 2:8-9
Let Steve’s life and words remind us that life is short. Don't waste it on things that don’t matter. Pray that God will help you know what does matter. Pray that the Lord will help order your steps and your priorities.
Be thankful to God for giving us Steve Jobs. There is no doubt that he had many gifts and talents. Be thankful to God that he used those talents to provide us with wonderful tools and gadgets. Then seek ways to use those tools to impact the world around you.

Steve Jobs had a very big impact on the entire world. His products were famous worldwide and might just have changed technology. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Jobs will be missed. For both his ingenious inventions and his great vision.
The fact that he died at such a young age does remind us that life is short. I think that so many of us get caught up in the little things in life that will never matter a year from now instead of enjoying what we have left. I believe Steve had a full life - he did what he enjoyed and was not afraid to die. We should all follow his example and do what our passion is so that we can enjoy the time we have.

Your post was amazing and he was a very influencing and inspiring person. We all have his gadgets and understand the importance of them. I hope that Steve accepted God so one day we can see him again. We love Steve and will miss him greatly
This is a very good post showing all of Steve Job's accomplishments. Althought Steve Job was a college drop-out, he was a very smart man who will be missed very much and will always be remembered. Although we all hope that he is in heaven with God, we don't know becuase that is between him and God. Since he is dead and we cannot do anything about it, we have to hope that he is in a better place, and that he is not suffering like he did here on earth.
Steve Jobs knew that technology needed improvement. That's why he would stand on stage and talk about all the flaws of (most of the time his own) products and what they needed to have done to them to be improved. It takes a lot of guts to present a presentation in which you criticize your own product. But that is part of what made him so successful, he realized that his products weren't perfect and they would always need fine tuning and reforming. You certainly don't see Bill Gates talk about how much Microsoft computers crash. All in all, it seemed like Jobs lived life to the fullest(in terms of how an average human would view it). But it doesn't matter once he's dead, because all of your earthly accomplishments don't earn you your way to heaven.
Steve Jobs was a great inspiration to many people, and without him the world would not be the same. He will be greatly missed.
Steve Jobs was an incredible "tech geek" and he was proud of it. He Is the man for creating Apple and his great ideas for technology and on life will be greatly missed. His commencement ceremony is one of the greatest speeches I have ever heard and it is very motivational.

I love what you said about his last few days and his belief in God. It is so true. Although we do not know whether he was a man of God I truly hope that he was, and that he is in a better place at peace and resting in eternal life.
Without Steve, computers today would not be the same. He had a very big impact on the modern world and should be remembered by our society as an influential figure in the evolution of technology. RIP Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs was a very influential figure in the evolution of technology. He deserves recognition for his success. RIP Steve Jobs.
Steve Job's story was incredible to listen too. It's very inspiring. It makes me wanna go make a difference in my life. He also was one of the most successful people i have heard of. Matthew :
"The name Apple was inspired by the Beatles' Apple Corps. Like the Beatles, Jobs went to India to seek spiritual truth. He eventually converted to Buddhism. Buddhist monk Kobun Chino presided over his wedding."
Jobs left his legacy behind with the world. Apple has been a huge success, and will continue to thrive. Apple has come a long way since its creation. The technology will continue to advance, but one can only dream of where it would go if Jobs was still alive. He and his creativity will be missed.
Steve Jobs was a great man with great ideas and visions. He created many technologies and ideas of the modern era. He may only be known as the "Iphone" guy, but in fact he was as much as an innovator, inspiration, and a historical recognition deserving man as much as the next guy in our history books. Rest in peace Mr. Jobs.
