Are you fully committed?

Are you passionate about your relationship with Christ?  Are you living a life that is “filled-up” with love for God.

II Chronicles16:9 “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

God is searching for people who love him.  He is not searching for capable or qualified people.  He only wants your love and availability.

Will you answer His call the same way Isaiah did?

Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"”

Humble yourself before God.  Humility is necessary in order to be used by God.  Seek His face and His will.

James 4:6 “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”

John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”

God desires for you to trust him wholeheartedly.  Hebrews 11:6 “Without faith it is impossible to please God.”

Prayer is vital in a pursuit of God.  We must earnestly seek Him.  We must desire God to work in us.  Romans 12:12 says that we are to be faithful in prayer.  Philippians 4:6 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 talk about our need to pray about everything and to pray without ceasing.  Our life should be centered around and guided by prayer.

Many Christians today are living a comfortable Christian life.  We need to be shaken out of our complacency.  We need a swift kick in the pants to get us moving.  We need to get serious about our faith.  We need to hunger and thirst for the Word of God.

Acts 3:19 “turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord"

How do we practically proceed …

1. Deuteronomy 6:5 “Love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind.”

2. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any unconfessed sin in your life.        1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

3. Seek forgiveness from anyone you have offended.  Forgive others who have offended you.  Make restitution as necessary.

4. Examine you heart.  Take a look at your motives.  Pray that you would please the Lord with every word and deed.  Pray, pray, pray.  (Psalm 19:14)

5. Count your blessings daily.

6. Read, study, and memorize Scripture. Determine to live a life of obedience and faith.  Matthew 5:6 “Hunger and thirst after righteousness.”

7. Find a good church and be actively involved.
